YA MEME → 1/3 endingsThe fault in our stars - John Green

What else? She is so beautiful. You don’t get tired of looking at her. You never worry if she is smarter than you: You know she is. She is funny without ever being mean. I love her. I am so lucky to love her, Van Houten. You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers.

I do, Augustus.

I do.

Now that a TFiOS movie is likely to become a real thing, I’m taking it upon myself to spearhead the campaign to get Grant Gustin cast as Augustus.

n0npareil:

Literally, he’s EXACTLY who I pictured while reading the book.

This needs to be a thing.

YES.

I need to know what John thinks about this.

  • Augustus Waters: hey i just met you
  • Augustus Waters: and this is crazy
  • Augustus Waters: but i think you're really pretty and you remind me of my dead ex and natalie portman as well and i really want you to come over my house and watch v for vendetta with me even though we barely know each other and i want to take you to amsterdam so you can live your dream because life is fleeting and my number's in this book
  • Augustus Waters: so call me maybe

The problem with “The Fault in Our Stars” is that after reading it, Augustus Waters has greatly raised my expectations for men, and I know that no one I meet will ever be that great.

I KNOW RIGHT?

Table talk at the Waters' residence.

  • Augustus: It tastes like...
  • Hazel: Food.
  • Augustus: Yes, precisely. It tastes like food, excellently prepared. But it does not taste, how do I put this delicately…?
  • Hazel: It does not taste like God Himself cooked heaven into a series of five dishes which were then served to you accompanied by several luminous balls of fermented, bubly plasma while actual and literal flower petals floated down all around your canal-side dinner table.
  • Augustus: Nicely phrased.
  • Mr. Waters: Our children are weird.
  • Mr. Lancaster: Nicely phrased.

You guys…

Okay, so, I haven’t watched Glee in like months, but…

Grant Gustin looks like Augustus Waters. And there’s a lot of Grant Austin on my dashboard right now. And I can’t stop thinking of Augustus Waters.

I’m just saying, the image of Gus in my head resembles Grant Gustin.
